A WOMAN has died following a crash between a car and a 4x4 on the M5 northbound between junctions 5 and 4a, near Bromsgrove.
The incident happened at around 5.40am this morning (Wednesday April 3).
Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a car that had suffered considerable damage.
"An off duty paramedic and bystanders were trying to assist the car driver.
“Unfortunately, despite all efforts, it was not possible to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“Two men in the 4x4 were assessed but were unhurt and were discharged at the scene.”
