AN entrepreneur from Bromsgrove has been recognised for her dedication to providing vegan, and chemical free products.

Lisa Turner was recognised by British businesswoman, Jacqueline Gold CBE, for her success as a female entrepreneur, and awarded with a prestigious #WOW badge.

Lisa was one of three winners selected by Jacqueline after she entered ‘Women on Wednesday’ – a competition launched by Jacqueline to celebrate the growing number of UK female entrepreneurs and businesswomen.

Women on Wednesday (#WOW) takes place every week and is run through Jacqueline’s Twitter page.

Lisa, who said she was delighted with the win, got into making soap as a hobby.

"I wanted to find something that was more moisturising for my skin and I was also becoming more aware of the harsh chemicals that are being added to our beauty products," she said.

"It soon became apparent that I was addicted to the process of making soap and had to start giving away a lot of what I had made to family and friends.

"It was then that people started to comment on how much better their skin felt using them and asking me for more. The Wrinkly Elephant Company was then formed and is going from strength to strength."

All the soaps Lisa make are made using natural ingredients and are free from harsh chemicals,

They are Vegan friendly and are fragranced using plant essential oils. No synthetic colours are added and none of our products are tested on animals.

Jacqueline Gold said: "Lisa’s passion for soap-making and dedication to providing vegan and chemical free products sets this company apart. I wish her every success in the future.
