DISTRICT and parish elections will be held in Bromsgrove on May 2 – but in some areas parish councils are uncontested.
This means there are enough people for each seat on the parish council so a vote for this isn’t needed.
All seats in the district election are contested.
If people have received a postal vote pack they will have a district council ballot paper for May 2.
Postal voters will be notified if their parish council is uncontested on a yellow slip contained within their packs.
A Bromsgrove Council spokesman said: "Please check your postal vote packs carefully.
"When people come to the polling station, to vote in person, they will not be given papers for the parish elections if theirs is uncontested."
