BROMSGROVE based community groups are being urged to apply for grants from money that has been made available through the New Homes Bonus scheme.
Groups can apply for the money to help pay for projects in areas which have been affected by new housing growth.
Bromsgrove District Council has put aside £74,000 for the grants - but anyone thinking of applying for a grant will need to be quick.
Applications can be made from Tuesday May 7 but the deadline for grants is Friday June 14.
Any bids that need to be reviewed by district council officers prior to submission must be submitted by 9am on Tuesday May 28.
The grants will be split into two tiers with smaller grants of up to £1,480 and larger ones up to £14,800.
The council's NHB grants panel will consider all the applications in August in order to make recommendations to the cabinet, where final decisions will be made in September.
Details of how to apply for grants can be found at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk/nhb from 9am on Tuesday or by contacting NHBGrants@bromsgrove.gov.uk
