AN elderly man fell victim to a distraction burglary at his home in Beoley.

Police are seeking information from the local community about three women and one man they would like to speak to following a distraction burglary in Icknield Road, Beoley.

At around 3pm on April 9 a group of three women and one man visited a home on Icknield Street, Beoley.

After a few moments one of the women spoke to the home owner, while the home owner - an elderly man - was distracted.

It is believed that the remaining one or two women and man may have entered his home, taking a quantity of jewellery.

It is believed a car may have been parked in a nearby street that they used to leave the area.

The three women are described as aged between their late teens to early 20s, with tanned skin, wearing dark clothing and all spoke with Eastern European accents. One of the women wore a scarf.

The man is described as being in his 30s with tanned skin and an Eastern European accent.

PC Dan Icke said: "We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this incident on April 9 or seen people in the area at the time matching the description.

"The jewellery is highly sentimental and it may have been sold on locally. If local residents have been offered jewellery for sale in unusual circumstances over the past few weeks please get in touch with 101."

He continued: "Please get in touch via 101 with any information that may help with our enquiries no matter how small."

If anyone recognises the descriptions of any of the four individuals or has any information about the burglary, call 101 quoting crime reference 22/32063/19.
