AN audacious thief has been jailed for six months after stealing thousands of pounds worth of make up from a shop in Bromsgrove.

Elizabeth McCulloch, from Overbury Road in Birmingham, visited Boots the Chemist on High Street on three separate occasions stealing more than £6,000 worth of items.

On October 1 last year she stole £2,500 worth of cosmetics.

She then went back in the same store just days later on October 3 and stole another £2,500 worth of make up.

She went back the same store again on November 22 and stole £1,043 worth of goods.

The 43-year-old, appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court earlier this week, was also tried for stealing alcohol from Morrisons in Leamington Spa in March this year, and stealing food and alcohol on two separate occasions from Waitrose in Malvern in June this year.

She was sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
