POLICE are warning residents to remain vigilant after a woman in Bromsgrove was scammed out of £1,000.

The woman, from Victoria Road near the town centre, was approached by rogue traders who offered to carry out some gardening work.

They took £1,000 from the lady but did not finish the work.

The incident happened on Friday, June 14.

A police spokesman described the rouge traders as three white males and asked anyone who may have any information or who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch quoting 178s250619.
