YEADON Town Hall is gearing up for a “superb September” with a line-up of live music, tribute shows, theatre, cinema screenings and community events.

The month gets off to a stirring start as Mr Montgomery’s Circus Spectacular completes its run on September 1.

As well as showcasing the work of theatrical companies and artists such as Mikron Theatre Company, The Edwin Starr Band - The Team with Angelo Starr, and Bye Bye Baby, Yeadon Town Hall is also welcoming back The Carole King Songbook on September 27.

Jamie Hudson, Director of Yeadon Town Hall, says: “We’ve got an incredibly busy and varied September coming up but we wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s something for everyone - from the incredibly talented Mikron Theatre Company taking us on a theatrical trip down memory lane right through to live music celebrating a range of genres and eras.”

Mr Montgomery’s Circus Spectacular features aerial artists and jugglers, with craft activities also happening throughout the day. It is being staged from Tuesday, August 27 until Sunday, September 1. Tickets start at £8

Northern Soul Live will take place on Saturday, September 7, with tickets costing £17. The Edwin Starr Band - The Team featuring Angelo Starr, return to Yeadon Town Hall for the second time

The Favourite will be screened on Sunday, September 8. Tickets cost £5.The comedy-drama film stars Olivia Colman as a frail Queen Anne as her close friend Lady Sarah (Rachel Weisz) governs the country in her stead. When a new servant Abigail (played by Emma Stone) arrives, the two women soon become rivals for the Queen’s affections.

Redcoats will be presented by Mikron Theatre Company on Thursday, September 12 Tickets cost £10.The play, written by Nick Ahad, takes the audience on an 80 year journey of Butlin’s,

Bye Bye Baby will be staged on Friday, September 13, with tickets costing from £17.

The Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons tributes will sing hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like a Man, Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, December 1963 (Oh, What a Night) and Beggin’.

Rock For Heroes will take place on Saturday, September 14 in support of Help for Heroes. Tickets cost £10. A full live rock band and singers perform hits from artists such as Queen, David Bowie, Madonna and Elton John.

Heritage Weekend will take place on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15. Entry is free.
