MP Alex Sobel has swapped canvassing for canvas to help out at a Woodcraft Folk camp in Bramhope.
Staying at Bramhope Scout Campsite, the Leeds North West MP has accompanied his own children and Woodcraft Folk on a three-day trip including games, crafts, outdoor activities and a hike to Chevin Forest Park.
Founded in 1925, Woodcraft Folk is an educational movement and charity, which aims to “educate and empower young people to be able to participate actively in society, improving their lives and others’ through active citizenship.”
Mr Sobel said: “Leeds North West has some fantastic wild and green spaces, it is a joy to be experiencing them with my children and a wonderful local community group and some fantastic young people.”
Woodcraft Folk has local groups in Meanwood, Headingley and Otley. Visit https://woodcraft.org.uk/where/england/north/leeds.
