A MAN was taken to hospital after being freed by emergency crews following a serious road crash in Belbroughton on Saturday morning (August 17).
The incident happened just after 6.30am on the A491 Bromsgrove to Stourbridge Road, according to a witness.
Two cars were involved in the collision, a Vauxhall Zafira and a pick-up truck, and the male driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital after being released by firefighters with help from the ambulance service.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man, believed to be in his 30s, was assessed and treated at the scene and taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle is believed to have escaped uninjured.
The road was closed until 9am after the crash, which happened by Bell End Farm.
