THE body of a man has been found near Longbridge railway station.
The body, amongst trees close to the station, was discovered by a woman walking along Longbridge Lane at around 8.15am yesterday.
She raised the alarm and officers arrived a short time later, closely followed by ambulance staff.
Sadly, nothing could be done to save his life and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
West Midlands Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A statement from police said: "Police were called to Longbridge Lane, Longbridge, at 8.15am Sunday, September 22 by a member of the public reporting that she had found a body.
The man was confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
