ON Sunday, October 20, Dan and Simon Batty will walk the full length of the Malvern Hills in memory of their much loved dad, Steve, who passed away earlier this year.

Steve had been experiencing anxiety, depression and tinnitus.

This event will raise money for Herefordshire Mind, a local charity which actively supports people with mental health issues and provides advice and guidance for their families and friends.

Liz Batty, Dan and Simon's mum and Steve's wife, said: "We're glad to be working with Herefordshire Mind and helping them to raise money so they can help people in similar situations to Steve.

"We're also so grateful for all the support we've had from our local community."

Dan and Simon welcome anyone who wishes to join them on their walk.

They will be setting off from Chase End at 9.15am, before stopping at Sally's Place Kiosk at British Camp at around 11.30am - noon, where they will be met by a representative from Herefordshire Mind as well as local Reverend Melanie Horton, who is dedicating the weekend to awareness of mental health in Colwall.

Dan and Simon have already raised just over £2,000 ahead of their challenge.
