EX-servicemen and women will honour fallen forces comrades at Remembrance Day events in Dudley and across the borough this Sunday (November 10).

A service of Remembrance will take place at the cenotaph in Ednam Road in Dudley at 10.40am and the event, which will be attended by The Mayor of Dudley - Councillor David Stanley, will be transmitted live on Black Country Radio.

Community groups will join ex-forces men and women for a parade from Vicar Street at around 10.20am, which will move along High Street, Stone Street, Priory Street, Priory Road - winding up in Ednam Road by the cenotaph.

Several road closures will be in place to make sure the event runs safely including Priory Road, Ednam Road, New Street, Tower Street, Priory Street, Stone Street, St James’s Road, Parsons Street, Market Place, High Street, Wolverhampton Street, Union Street and Vicar Street.

Veterans will also join council staff, councillors, members of the public and the Mayor at the First World War Clock Tower Memorial in Priory Street, Dudley, for the annual Armistice Day on Monday November 11 to mark the end of the First World War service.

The service starts at 10.50am and includes the laying of wreaths and a two-minute silence.

Priory Street will be closed on the morning, with alternative routes signposted from 8am to 1pm.

On Remembrance Day in Stourbridge - veterans will muster at around 10.30am ahead of a march from the Council House in Mary Stevens Park, Norton, to the cenotaph where there will be a two-minute silence and service of Remembrance by Rev Andrew Sillis at 11am.
