A BRIERLEY Hill grandfather has handed over more charity cash to causes close to his heart.
Gurcharan Singh Bedi, aged 77, lost his wife Surjeet Kaur Bedi to cancer in 2008 when she was just 56 and since then he has made it his mission to fundraise in her memory.
The grandfather-of-two has raised more than £30,000 for various charities over the years and most recently he handed over £500 to Macmillan Cancer Research and The White House Cancer Support in Dudley. Both charities received £250 each at the presentation ceremony held at The White House and attended by The Mayor of Dudley - Councillor David Stanley.
Mr Bedi was awarded the BEM for his charity fundraising in the Dudley borough in the Queen's Birthday Honours list this year and he is now awaiting a date to officially receive the Royal accolade.
