A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a fire on Monday.
The court heard firefighters had to tackle the blaze in Wycoller Avenue, Burnley, shortly before midnight.
Giuseppe Bona, 57, who lived in the flat where the fire started which is one of four apartments in the block, was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
The court heard the other flats in the building were all occupied at the time of the fire.
Bona will appear before the Crown Court on December 12.
