BRADFORD Council bosses will discuss plans to delay cuts to its museum service later this week.
Budget proposals for 2020/21 are allocating time-limited funding to support the Council’s museums service as a new "sustainable model of delivery" is developed.
The Council had previously announced plans to cut the museum and galleries service budget by £500,000 in 2020/21.
The cuts were likely to lead to reduced opening hours at some the District's four museums and galleries.
But before Christmas the Council announced this cut was being delayed to “support re-modelling of the Museums service.”

The latest 2020/21 budget plans will be discussed by Bradford Council decision making Executive on Thursday.
The Council says: “A review of the museums service will examine the potential for new income generation, options for community engagement and the role of the service in future culture developments.
"This approach is supported by the Arts Council and local culture partners, and Bradford Council will set out to work more closely with these partners and look to further engage with communities around cultural issues over the next year."
The Executive will discuss the budget at a meeting on January 2 in City Hall at 10.30am.
