FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a car park outside Barlinnie Prison after vehicles were set alight in the car park.
The Glasgow Times understands three cars were set on fire.
Police said they were aware of the incident close to the prison which is in the city's Riddrie but would not comment any further.
A source told The Glasgow Times: "Three vehicles on fire in the staff car park at Barlinne prison.
"Prisoners family and friends have been evacuated from the reception area and all visits to prisoners cancelled."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they sent two appliances to Lee Avenue at 5.54 pm and they are now away from the scene.
