A YELLOW weather warning for snow and ice is in force for Bury and the rest of Greater Manchester today - but when is the snow expected to hit?

According to the latest forecasts, snow is expected to hit the town fom mid afternoon today and lasting through to Wednesday.

There is a 50% chance of some snowfall this evening, peaking at 66% overnight.

Bury Times:

The warning comes as the region was battered by Storm Ciara this weekend, with flooding being experienced throughout Bury and Radcliffe.

A Met Office amber weather warning for wind elapsed at 9pm last night as Storm Ciara moved away to the North East of Scotland.

Now part of the UK are braced for blizzards and up to 20cm of snow in the wake of the storm — with a yellow warning of snow and ice in force for Bury throughout today and tomorrow.
