POLICE in Bromsgrove have had to rescue two horses with shocking injuries left for dead in a field in the town.
Officers said they received reports of horses in 'ill health' which had been left in a field off Barnsley Hall Road in the town.
Photos seen to show deep bloody wounds on the horses' backs.
They said both horses needed seizing and a vet and RSPCA official agreed.
The horses are now in the care of the RSPCA, which is investigating.
