A POPULAR hotel and restaurant in Thorpe Bay will be closing it's doors on Saturday in response to the Government's instructions to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jacqui Dallimore, managing director of Roslin Beach Hotel, at Thorpe Esplanade, released a statement today, which reads: "The well-being of our guest, employees, and local community has always been our absolute priority, and non more so than during the current outbreak of COVID-19.

"In response to the Government's instructions and our deep concern for the health of the local community and staff, we have had to make the difficult decision of closing Roslin Beach Hotel from Saturday, March 21 until further notice.

"If you have a reservation, please contact the correct team and we will ensure to refund your deposit or hold it for the foreseeable future.

"In the meantime, we send our thoughts and comforts to anybody who is affected and would to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and loyalty.

"We look forward to welcoming you back when the sun is shining on the glorious terrace and enjoying the place we call our home."
