AN INVESTIGATION has been launched by detectives after a man was reportedly stabbed in the leg with a knife.

Officers were called to Nelson Road in Poole by the ambulance on Saturday night at around 11.30pm to reports of an assault at an address.

It was reported that a man aged in his 30s was found with injuries to his leg.

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "It is alleged that he was stabbed with a knife some time around 9am earlier that day. He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing."

Following enquiries, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
