NINE vehicles have been seized or dealt with by police in Bournemouth during a busy week.
Officers from Dorset Police's No Excuse Team continue have dealt with nine different vehicle offences this week in Bournemouth.
Five of these were stopped in Christchurch Road:
- A Vauxhall Corsa was seized for no insurance, licence or tax.
- A Black 66 plated Mercedes C220 was seized for no insurance and the driver was handed six points and a £300 fine.
- A White Mercedes C220 was seized for no insurance. Police first became aware of the vehicle when the 85-year-old driver almost collided with a marked police car on a roundabout. The driver was handed six points and a £300 fine.
- A Mercedes C250 was dealt with as its front and rear number plates were missing. The driver was handed a £100 fine.
- A Mercedes C200 rental car was dealt with for antisocial driving with a section 59 warning.
Meanwhile in Windham Road:
- A man was caught riding a 650cc motorbike with no licence or insurance. Officers said it appeared that the man was "struggling to control" the bike.
In Florence Road:
- A Renault Clio was seized for no insurance. The driver was handed six points and a £300 fine.
Lastly along Holdenhurst Road:
- An Audi 2.0 FSI was dealt with for being dangerously parked unattended on zig zag markings and on the pavement. The vehicle's driver was issued with three points and a £100 fine.
- The driver of Mercedes Sprinter dropside lorry driver was dealt with for using a mobile phone whilst driving. He was handed six points and a £200 fine.
