A COCAINE user who drove under the influence of drugs twice in the space of two weeks has been handed an electronic tag and banned from getting behind the wheel for three years.
Mark Batty, 44, of Fox Lane, Bromsgrove, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs.
He was put under an electronic curfew for 12 weeks and must remain in his home or garden from 4pm to 6am each day until August 24.
Batty pleaded guilty to driving with cocaine his system on Perryfields Road on October 12, 2019 and again on Birmingham Road ten days later.
In addition, he indicated a guilty plea to charges of having crack cocaine and diamorphine (heroin) in his possession on October 12, 2019.
As well as being banned from driving for three years, Batty was additionally fined £290.
