POLICE have cordoned off a park after a person was taken to hospital in a critical condition following a suspected drugs overdose.
Redcotts Park, neat St Margaret's Hill in Wimborne, will remain closed to members of the public until further notice.
Dorset Police received a call from the ambulance service just after 11pm last night and attended the scene.
A manned cordon remains in place.
All the entrance points to the ground have been blocked off.
East Dorset Police said: "Redcotts will be closed to members of the public until further notice.
"Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."
Posting on Facebook this morning, Wimborne Minster Town Council said: “We are aware that the police have cordoned off Redcotts Park.
“We are awaiting further information and will provide an update as soon as possible.”
