TWO men were injured in a mass brawl at a pub in Bromsgrove.

One of the men suffered a head injury and the other had a laceration on his arm after disorder broke out at Ye Olde Black Cross Pub in Worcester Road in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 11).

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Windows, chairs and tables were also smashed in the altercation.

Police were called to the scene at around 12.40am and arrested a  17-year-old male from Bromsgrove on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The trouble is believed to have began inside the pub then spilled outside when people were ordered to leave.

Police are now appealing for information and investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or the events leading up to the disorder.

Detective Inspector Sarah Squires, of West Mercia Police, said: "We were alerted to a disorder at the Ye Olde Black Cross Public House in Worcester Road, Bromsgrove that occurred overnight.

"Two men were injured and considerable damage caused to the premises.

"We are appealing for any information in particular any mobile phone videos or photos of the disorder that may help us with our investigation.

"I would also like to reassure the community that we will have our Safer Neighbourhood officers in the area throughout the day and night, and would encourage anyone with concerns or information to speak to them."
