THE restaurant at Debenhams in Golden Square Shopping Centre has reopened.
The department store giant’s future in the town had looked under threat when the company announced a host of closures earlier this year – including its Warrington branch.
But the shop was saved after a deal was thrashed out between Debenhams, Warrington Borough Council and Golden Square owners La Salle.
However, despite the announcement, it was feared that the restaurant would close.
But it has now reopened, with Debenhams confirming that it is participating in the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
People eating at an establishment signed up to the scheme are eligible to get a 50 per cent discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in, up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner.
People can use it every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August – and use it as many times as they like.
