A CARE home in Bromsgrove has thanked those who have gone the extra mile to support residents throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, has expressed its gratitude for the consideration and generosity shown by the people of Bromsgrove over the past couple of months.

From volunteering, to delivering messages and artwork to brighten everyone’s day, individuals and organisations have pulled together to support the older members of the community, and Care UK homes across the country have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.

Chandler Court has been inundated with support, receiving thoughtful letters from the 4th Bromsgrove Guides and kindness hearts from Worcestershire Hearts of Joy, where each resident was given one heart as a keepsake and a second heart to send to a loved one.

Everyone was also thrilled when songs from a special musical performance by Martin, a resident’s relative, were dedicated to residents and team members. The home also received a pizza delivery from its local Domino’s branch.

Whether it’s baking for a resident’s birthday, keeping the morale up through creative activities, team members at Chandler Court have also been praised for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts over the past few months.

Sara Gibson, home manager at Chandler Court, said: “We have been truly overwhelmed with the amount of support the people of Bromsgrove have offered.

“Everyone at Chandler Court would like to thank local people for their kind gestures, however big or small, from sending us kindness hearts to share with our loved ones to dedicating song to residents. Your consideration and generosity has helped us through this challenging time, by bringing a smile to residents missing their families, and a morale boost to our hardworking team.

“We are truly lucky to be part of such a wonderful, caring community, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.”
