BISHOPS Castle will be marking the end of the second world war this weekend.
There will be a combined event to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day that was in early May and VJ that has just past.
Under normal circumstances both events would have been widely commemorated but this has not been possible this year because of the Covid-19 restrictions.
The exhibition in Bishops Castle Town Hall takes place tomorrow and on Saturday and Sunday.
It is open to visitors between 10am and 4pm on the first two days and between 11am and 3pm on Sunday.
Victory in Europe came after the suicide of Adolph Hitler and the surrender of Germany whilst victory against Japan can a week after the dropping of two atomic bombs.
Admission to the exhibition is Bishops Castle is free but people can donate to the Royal British Legion.
