A WEATHER warning remains in place for Worcestershire with scattered thunderstorms expected.
The Met Office has extended its yellow weather warning for thunderstorms, originally set to end on Thursday, until Monday.
Areas of Worcestershire, including Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove and Redditch, are likely to see isolated thunderstorms during Thursday, Sunday and Monday, but there is significant uncertainty about precise locations and timings.
The Met Office has warned there is a small chance that homes and businesses in some areas of the UK could be flooded quickly, with damage caused to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a change of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
It comes after temperatures above 34C were recorded for the sixth day in a row in parts of southern England - for the first time since 1961.
Forecaster Greg Dewhurst said: "It's not often we get temperatures this high over several days, and that is triggering thunderstorms across parts of England and Wales."
