MALVERN’S top dog has been revealed, being chosen over 250 of the district’s most loved pets.

Margo, a half working spaniel, half labrador, was chosen in the Malvern Mutts competition organised by Visit the Malverns.

Jude and James Wild, Margo’s owners, won a hamper full of treats and dog food worth £100.

Margo, named after the character from The Good Life, comes from Ashford Kennels in Shropshire and has her own Instagram page @margothecockerdoor.

Jude Wild said: "Margo is delighted to win the prize.

"She is hugely grateful to those that voted for her and will reward anyone she sees on the hills with smiles and tail wags.

"She hopes to see you all up there enjoying the beautiful views."

Cllr Sarah Rouse, portfolio holder for economic development and tourism at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "A big well done to Jude and James, and Margo of course, for scooping the top prize.

"Thank you to everyone who got involved, it has been lovely to see so many Malvern Mutts enjoying our stunning scenery and sitting at our dog friendly venues."
