Emergency services were at the scene of a two-car crash in which the roof had to be cut away to rescue a woman trapped inside her car.
A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told the Worcester News: "On arrival one car was smoking and one female was trapped who was conscious and breathing and received treatment at the scene from fire service personnel and ambulance staff.
"The roof was removed from the vehicle to free the casualty and she was taken to hospital by ambulance. HWFRS made both vehicles safe and the incident was left in the hands of the police."
The incident happened on the A38 Worcester Road at just gone 9am, near to the junction of Pulley Lane.
