POLICE have charged a man with conspiracy to murder two men who were found shot dead in a car in Brierley Hill.

Richard Avery, aged 33, of no fixed address, is also accused of perverting the course of justice, and was due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday October 22).

He was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the deaths of William Henry, aged 31, and Brian McIntosh, aged 29, both from Bartley Green, Birmingham, who were found dead in a car on an industrial estate off Moor Street at 3.30pm on Wednesday September 30.

Jonathan Houseman, aged 32, of Quarry Park Road, Stourbridge, was charged with murder earlier this month and has been remanded in custody by the courts to await a further hearing on November 6 and possible trial next June.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The victims’ families have been updated with news of the latest charges, and we continue to support them at this tragic time."

An inquest into the deaths of Mr Henry and Mr McIntosh was opened on Tuesday and adjourned pending criminal proceedings. The pair were confirmed to have died from gunshot wounds.

Mr Henry, whose full name was William Pierre Henry St Martin, died from a gun shot wound to the head, and Mr Mcintosh died from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and neck.
