AS Bromsgrove heads into a second lockdown, there has never been a more important time to support local businesses.

Last week the Advertiser launched our Love Local Business campaign to encourage people to spend their money locally in the run up to Christmas, to help businesses as they struggle with the impact of coronavirus.

Love Local Business this Christmas follows on from the successful campaign, of the same name, which we ran in the Advertiser this summer.

The aim is to promote all the fantastic traders we have in the town and urge our readers to give them their custom at this key time of the year.

Now Sajid Javid, MP for Bromsgrove, has added his support to our campaign.

“I am delighted to be supporting the Love Local campaign in Bromsgrove District, alongside the Bromsgrove Advertiser,” he said.

“This has been a challenging period for many businesses and traders, with the continued support of local residents now more important than ever”

“In the run up to Christmas, I’m urging people to shop local and back independent businesses in their area.”

As part of the Newsquest publishing group, the Advertiser reaches a huge percentage of the local population across our well-established regional brands including print publications, record online audiences and social media.

Sales director for the Advertiser, Dale Godliman said: “I am delighted that we are running a sustained campaign outlining the importance of using local business, at what is a crucial time for so many SMEs. We reach a huge percentage of the local population across our well-established regional brands and, through a combination of combining our loyal print publications, record online audiences and market leading engagement via our social media channels, we are really confident that we can be the marketing partner of choice for local businesses during this crucial period.
