THREE people died from coronavirus in the county's care homes in the latest week for which data has been made available.

The latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) 'all settings' figures for the week ending October 30 shows three deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate – two at care homes in Wyre Forest and one at a care home in Wychavon.

It means that, in total, 549 Worcestershire people classed as having Covid-19, have died up to that date, according to figures up to November 10.

A total of 295 people have died at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and 29 people have died in Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care Trust.

At least 64 people from Worcester have died from coronavirus including 30 in hospital, 27 in a care home, four at home, two in a communal establishment and one in a hospice.

A total of 134 Bromsgrove residents have died from coronavirus including 75 in hospital, 54 in a care home, four elsewhere and one in a communal establishment.

A total of 127 people in Wyre Forest have died from coronavirus including 72 in hospital, 43 in a care home, nine at home, two in a communal establishment and one elsewhere.

In Wychavon, 113 people have died from coronavirus including 52 in hospital, 50 in a care home, five at home, four in a communal establishment, two in a hospice and one elsewhere.

A total of 60 people from Redditch have died including 50 in hospital, eight in a care home, two at home, and one in a communal establishment.

And 47 people from Malvern have died from coronavirus including 24 in hospital, 20 in a care home, two at home and one in a communal establishment.

The city's infection rate jumped to 248 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to November 6.
