A WOMAN who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released pending investigation following a horror crash in Alvechurch.

A cyclist in his 40s died and another man was seriously injured in a crash on the A441 Redditch Road on Saturday (November 14).

The road was closed for hours and motorists were advised to avoid the area after the crash, which involved a car and two bicycles.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the crash - involving two cyclists and a car - to get in touch.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Two people, both cyclists, were seriously injured in the collision and sadly, one of the victims, a man in his 40s, died.

"The other victim, a man in his 20s continues to receive medical care at hospital and is in a critical condition.

"A woman in her 20s from Redditch has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released pending investigation."
