Staff at a care home in Bromsgrove are calling out to the local community to help them make residents feel special this Christmas.

Carers want people to send Christmas cards to residents at Bupa’s Heathbrook House on Worcester Road to help lift their spirits over the festive period and to let residents know people are thinking of them at this time of the year.

Home Manager Natasha Walmsley said: “Opening a Christmas card can fill you with warmth, excitement and the feeling of belonging.

“The cards received will be opened by residents and placed around the home for everyone to read and enjoy the kind messages shared.

“Knowing that people are thinking of them will bring comfort and joy to the residents of Heathbrook House.”

“Wwe do everything we can to ensure residents have a fun-filled Christmas. However, for those who are unable to see their families or who don’t have any relatives, it can be a difficult time. If we can get enough cards so that each resident has the joy of opening something during the festive season, that would be really special.

“The Bromsgrove community has really come together this year so we’re hoping the same spirit can help rally lots of Christmas cheer.”

Post your card to: Heathbrook House Bupa Care Home, 223-229 Worcester Road, Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, B61 7JA.
