A DRUG-driver from Worcester has been banned from driving for three years.

Cristian Chivu, 31, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on January 7.

Chivu, of Tudor Way, Worcester, pleaded guilty to driving a black Skoda on Friar Street whilst unfit to drive through drugs.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and ordered to pay costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

On the same day, a man from Worcester was fined for touching a woman sexually without consent.

Mark Lannie, 58, of Barbers Close, Worcester, pleaded guilty to sexually touching the woman without consent, on October 13 last year.

He was fined £216, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and ordered to pay costs of £135 to the CPS.

A warrant for an arrest without bail was issued after a defendant from Worcester failed to turn up to court.

Rob Evans, 47, of Broad Street, Worcester, was due to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on January 8, 2021, after being charged with intent to cause harassment to a woman on 29 May last year.

Evans was charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words and disorderly behaviour, thereby causing distress.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges on October 22 last year.

Appearing before the court on the same day was 50-year-old Rachel Jeffries.

Jeffries, of Rickman Drive, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to speeding on a restricted road on Worcester towards Malvern.

She exceeded the 30mph speed limit.

She was fined £50, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and to pay costs of £80 to the CPS.
