FRONTLINE health and care staff in Worcestershire have begun receiving their Covid-19 vaccinations at the Alexandra hospital in Redditch.

A spokeswoman from NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG, said: "The vaccination programme is going well across Worcestershire. Primary care teams are doing an outstanding job and we now have all our Primary Care Networks delivering vaccinations, giving 100% coverage across Worcestershire.

"In addition to this we also have a hospital Hub operating at the Alex vaccinating front line health and care staff.

"We remind people that they will be contacted by the NHS and ask that people don't call their GP surgery but to be patient as NHS teams work to get invitations out."

After Jackie Edwads, the deputy chief nurse of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, posted the above photo of staff at Alexanda hospital, Matthew Hopkins, CEO of the Trust, tweeted: "All of this is possible because of amazing team work across Worcestershire between the NHS and Worcestershire County Council."
