THERE have been 18 new coronavirus deaths recorded at Worcestershire's hospitals.

The announcement had followed two days of no new deaths announced.

Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust had 17 new deaths, with its total now at 714.

And a further death had been recorded at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total rising to 52.

It means that in total, there have been 766 coronavirus deaths at Worcestershire hospitals.

And in all settings, including hospices and care homes, there have now been at least 1,142 Covid deaths.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
