Two new schemes have been added to the list of proposed A38 Bromsgrove improvements after feedback from local residents.

Now Worcestershire County Council wants to know how local people feel about the latest plans.

The first new scheme would see the creation of a new segregated walking and cycling route alongside the A38 in Bromsgrove. It would remove the left turn bypass lane at the Slideslow Drive roundabout, allowing a new toucan crossing on Slideslow Drive.

The second involves work on Regents Park Road, between the roundabout with the A38/A448 and Royal Worcester Crescent. There would be a shared foot/cycleway, linking into current facilities within the Oakalls Estate.

Councillor Ken Pollock, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy and Infrastructure, said: “We’re continually looking at ways to improve the cycling and walking network, not only in Bromsgrove, but across the county.

“We’ve heard what people had to say at the engagement events last year and these two schemes have been developed in response to that feedback.

“We’d now like to gather your thoughts on these two new schemes, so please get in touch and give us your feedback on them.”

Maps of the schemes are available to view on the County Council website by visiting www.worcestershire.gov.uk/a38brep

Any feedback can then be sent to majorprojects@Worcestershire.gov.uk

The deadline for feedback is Friday, March 19.
