BROMSGROVE market has announced its reopening date after the Covid lockdown .

The market will reopen next Tuesday (April 13) to coincide with the opening of retail shops and businesses on the high street.

However Bromsgrove District Council are urging customers to stick to Covid safety guidelines.

People are being encouraged to socially distance around the stalls and in shops, not to touch produce, to use hand sanitiser and wear face coverings, unless exempt.

Markets Manager Jonathan Smith said: “We can’t wait to welcome back our traders and customers but want to make sure our return to the High Street is done so as safely as possible and in line with Government advice.

“Our customers and traders have a part to play in this so please bear in mind the rules and let’s welcome our markets back to the town with each other’s safety in mind.”

The market is open from 9am until 4pm every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
