BROMSGROVE residents will be casting their votes on May 6 to choose who they want to represent their division on Worcestershire County Council.

There are 40 nominations from nine divisions across Bromsgrove which will return one councillor each.

This years election will see a selection of councillors standing again for their divisions; Labour councillors Peter McDonald and Luke Mallet are standing again for their divisions and Conservative councillors Kit Taylor, Karen May, Kyle Daisley and Shirley Webb are standing again for their divisions.

At the last Worcestershire County Council election in 2017, the conservatives extended their majority in the council by ten seats.

The Tories gained seats for Clent Hills and for Wythall from Independents but lost their seat for Alvechurch to independent candidate Charlie Hotham.
