A TEENAGER playing football in Amblecote was punched in the face when he was approached by a group of youths - one of whom had a knife.
Police say they are investigating the incident which happened at Amblecote Park at around 7.15pm yesterday (Monday April 19).
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to a report of a 17-year-old boy being punched in his face off Collis Street, Amblecote.
"He was playing football with others when they were approached by a group of four youths - believed to be around 16 - and one was carrying a knife.
"Following an altercation the 17-year-old was punched before the group fled."
Police officers attended the scene and searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.
