TWO best friends are opening a bridal business and a hair salon at Becketts Fram in Wythall next month.

Georgina Thompson and Hollie Coyne are opening Gina Lou Bridal and reopening hair salon Bouclé by Gina Lou which is just next door.

The hair salon relocated to Becketts Farm in 2020 but was only open for four weeks before closing its doors due to the Covid pandemic.

Georgina, owner of the two shops, said it has been a long-time goal to open a shop with her best friend. She said: "The Gina Lou Bridal journey began back in 2016 in New York, when Hollie and I were on holiday and standing together on Brooklyn Bridge watching the most beautiful bridal photoshoot. We would have never thought that five years later we would be opening a bridal boutique of our own.

“I have been a bridal hairdresser for over ten years, always meeting each bride before their big day to create the perfect hairstyle to complete their look for their big day. I have been there to calm brides, fasten dresses, and keep things running smoothly, and often got stuck-in and helped them to organise their wedding morning too.

“Hollie’s background lies in marketing. She has over ten years’ experience as a marketing specialist and has worked with numerous businesses to help them grow and achieve their goals."

The pair will be offering the full bridal package when they open including hair for the big day and the all important wedding dress.

The joint business is set to open on May 1 with a launch weekend.
