A MAN was rushed to hospital after a car flipped on its roof in Frankley this morning (Thursday, April 29).

West Mercia Police say they were called to Egghill Lane, Frankley, just before 7.30am. 

On arrival, they found a car had rolled over and flipped onto its roof.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance, a critical care paramedic, and a paramedic officer to the scene. 

They treated a man for injuries not believed to be serious before he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Egghill Lane was closed while emergency services responded to the incident.

It was reopened at around 10.15am.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called to Egghill Lane, Frankley at just before 7.30am this morning (Thursday 29 April) to a report of a road traffic collision.

"On arrival officers found the incident involved one vehicle which had overturned.

"The road was closed while emergency services responded to the incident. A man was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital."
