RUBERY has been reported to be a hotspot for car crime in Bromsgrove.

Seven incidents occurred last year between July and December at Morrison’s petrol station on park Way.

Five car crimes were reported on Reaside Drive and three incidents on Westwood Drive.

In total 53 car crimes were reported between July and December last year.

Car crime can involve damage to the vehicle personal injury, theft of the vehicle and theft from the vehicle.

This data comes as Co-op-Insurance have created a tool to reveal the number of car crimes in any area which can be viewed here.

Co-op have used data published by the Home Office on data.police.uk and covers the period between July 2020 and December 2020.

The map uses a code whereby red hotspots mean more than six incidents happened in that area, orange means between three and five incidents and yellow means less than two car crimes occurred.
