DIGBETH Dining Club has announced it will open an exciting new events venue in Longbridge as a permanent fixture.
Following the successful pop-up Longbridge Dining Club events over recent six years, a new space for events all year round will be built in town centre.
Digbeth Dining Club will operate the venue, named Herbert’s Yard. It will be new events space with seating for up to 200 people, located opposite the recently extended green heart in Austin Park.
The new multi-purpose site will be built by St. Modwen and will host Digbeth Dining Club style events while offering indoor and outdoor space for a wide range of corporate and community uses.
A café and deli will be open between 11am and 2pm daily, while a selection of independent food operators will be serving up a range of culinary delights between 4pm and 10pm on Thursdays, 11am and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm and 8pm on Sundays.
Digbeth Dining Club will also be working alongside St. Modwen to put together a calendar of monthly events such as farmers markets, Oktoberfest celebrations and Christmas fayre for the local community to enjoy.
As part of the agreement, space at Herbert’s Yard will also be available to hire for local community groups and parties for a minimum of 25 hours a week.
Work on Herbert’s Yard will start shortly with construction work due to last through the summer and the first events being opened to guests later this year.

Finding a more permanent home for the people of South Birmingham to enjoy seemed like the obvious next step for us.This will be the first venue that we’ll be operating outside of the city centre, and Longbridge couldn’t be a better fit.
“The turnout at our Longbridge Dining Club events has grown rapidly and it is firmly entrenched as one of the most popular events in the area; to be able to have a space specifically designed for these events is a great opportunity to extend our programme.
“We’re looking forward to working with St. Modwen to provide a varied calendar of events for people to attend, and make sure Herbert’s Yard is a real centrepiece for the community which is growing in the town.”
