PLANS have been put forward to knock down the former Bromsgrove police station and build a house for the headteacher of Bromsgrove School.
The former station lies on the site of the school but has remained unused by the school.
Bromsgrove School brought the buildings in 2004 and obtained a change of use permit in 2015 for additional teaching accommodation.
The school's proposal also includes plans to demolish the former police social club and build two flats at the rear of the five bed house for school staff.
Currently the application site is linked to the school's teaching facilities via an entrance link. This link is set to be demolished if plans are approved
The covering letter to the planning application states: "The three-storey detached dwelling will be accessed via a new private drive served by a dropped kerb footway crossover from The Crescent. The proposed driveway accommodates two car parking spaces and the garage has been designed to accommodate two additional car parking spaces."
