JACK Grealish from Barnt Green is hoping to help England to glory in the Euro 2020 tournament, which starts this week.

The Aston Villa captain put in a standout performance in a 1-0 win over Austria at the Riverside Stadium last Wednesday night, playing his part in Bukayo Saka’s winning goal.

Grealish, aged 25 and originally from Solihull, scored six goals for Villa, helping them to a mid-table finish in the Premier League, despite missing a large part of the season through injury.

He signed for Aston Villa at the tender age of six, making his first team debut in May 2014.

He initially played at international under 21 level for the Republic of Ireland, qualifying through his grandparents’ descent, but later switched allegiances to the England team.

His debut for the senior England team came last September, as a substitute in a 0-0 draw with Denmark.

England begin their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia on Sunday, June 13, before going on to play Scotland on June 18, then their final qualifying group game against the Czech Republic on June 22.
