THE vaccination clinic at Artrix in Bromsgrove is now accepting walk-in as well as booked appointments.

People aged 18 and over do not need to book ahead to get a COVID-19 vaccination or be registered with a GP.

Those who have not received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination are being particularly encouraged to attend this walk-in clinic.

The clinic will be open from Monday to Saturday 8am to 7.30pm and Sunday 8am-1.30pm throughout July and both the Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccinations are available.

Worcestershire county councillor Karen May, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Many of our Worcestershire residents have taken up the offer of a vaccine so far and I would like to thank everyone who has already done so.

“These walk-in clinics are now making it much easier for more people to come forward to get vaccinated and we would especially like to encourage our younger residents to take this opportunity to get a jab.”

Simon Trickett, chief executive officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG added: “We are now able to offer vaccinations to people over 18 without a prior appointment making it even easier to get your jab.

"Vaccination is so important, not only because it protects the person receiving the vaccine, but it also helps to protect loved ones and the community.

"We hope those people who have not come forward yet, will find this more convenient to get their first COVID-19 vaccination.”
